Grand Opening – big parade 

Everything is ready for the Grand Opening Ceremony of the 7th CSIT World Sports Games on 6 September, starting at 4 p.m. at the Rotonda della Pace on Cervia’s seafront. A colorful multi-ethnic parade of participating sports delegations and athletes will stroll to Piazza Garibaldi, where CSIT and AiCS President Bruno Molea will officially open the WSG2023. The ceremony will be presented in English by Gianni Marchetti and live-streamed on the official Facebook pages of CSIT and AICS, the CSIT-WSG official website, and on ARIAtv both in English and Italian. Torchbearer is Marco Bindi, a sporting curriculum vitae as a true “child of art” of athletics. The 33-year-old is a middle-distance runner, son of the nationally ranked middle-distance runner Elisa Zuccari and a veteran of AiCS athletics championships for over 20 years. On September 9th, the Closing Ceremony will be set up on the beach at the Fantini Club in Cervia. The event will feature the handover of the flag to Loutraki (Greece), which will host the CSIT WSG2025.
